Importing Facebook, Hi5, MySpace and LinkedIn Contacts to MSN Messenger

I have been trying to add some of the my friends I have on Facebook to my MSN Messenger. Its quite some labor to go to each of your friends profile, get their email address and add them on your messenger. There also is a MSN Messenger Button application on Facebook. This application adds a button to each of your contacts profile so that you can add them to your MSN just by clicking that button. Though I have never used this application and it seems very useful. But still it would be quite an effort to visit each of your contacts profile and click this button, especially if you have something like 400 contacts like me

So here is a very easy and better solution. Go to you Windows Live Home. You might need to login. You should be able to see a Add People link. Click on this link, this takes you to a page where you can import contacts from different social networking sites like Facebook, Hi5, MySpace and LinkedIn.

Click on the Facebook image, then click on the arrow in front of it. This opens a new page where you have to give your Facebook credentials.

Now you should be able to see all the people who are in your Facebook list and not in your MSN list. just check the people you want to add click Next.

You can also invite people to start using Windows Live Messenger and you may also optionally include a message to them so that they know who you are when they get an invitation. Click Send Invitations and you are done

Beware people can be far more annoying on MSN than they are on Facebook
